Leak: 7-inch ASUS EeePad Android Tablet at CES 2012 – First Photos

A promotional image of the 7-inch Asus EeePad Tablet was leaked prior to its unveiling at CES2012. ASUS has been very successful with the 10-inch EeePad Transformer line-up of tablets.  With the EeePad, Asus will be entering the 7-inch tablet market.

“According to these rumors, the Taiwanese company was planning to launch a 7-inch tablet cheap, with a price of about $ 299. For analysts sector would, in particular, an Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Mini 7 inch , to complement the existing 10-inch model.” – notebookitalia

It will have 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 16GB to 64GB of internal storage space, built-in WiFi, 3G and a screen resolution of 1,280 x 800.

There are rumours of two other Asus devices, Asus Eee Memo Pad and Asus Padfone. “Asus Eee Memo Pad should incorporate a 7-inch capacitive screen (1280×800 pixels), Qualcomm processor Snapdradron dual core 1.2GHz, 16GB to 64GB of flash memory, 3G and WiFi module, and of course the Android operating system. There is also a 3D version.” and “Asus Padfone is a device that combines the power of a 4.3-inch Android smartphone with those of a 10-inch tablet.”

The leaked image could represent any of the above three devices.  One thing is for sure, the devices is definitely smaller than 10-inches but it is hard to tell if its 7-inch (Transformer/Memo Pad) or smaller (Padfone). “The display is glossy type (glossy) and the Asus logo is evident on the frame.
