Rumour: RIM to Launch Porsche BlackBerry 10 Superphone?

Since the first image of the upcoming BlackBerry London emerged in November, BlackBerry users have noticed it looks quite similar to the Porsche Design BlackBerry P’9981.  Yesterday, another image of the London was leaked.  In this one, the superphone looks more like the PlayBook.  Both smartphones are rumoured to have a 4.2” HD display.  In addition, both have dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP CPUs, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

It is likely that RIM will continue its partnership with Porsche Design, and offer a luxury version of the BlackBerry London.  Currently, the Bold 9900 sells for around $600, while the Porsche Design P’9981 has a $2,000 price tag.  If RIM offers BlackBerry and Porsche Design versions of the London, the prices will likely be similar.

Feel free to comment on which version (or both) of BlackBerry London you think RIM will launch.
