In the battle of the flagships, BlackBerry’s Dev Alpha B faces off against HTC’s 8X. Do keep in mind it is an early build of BB 10 (10.0.9.1675). Both smartphones have similar specs, making the comparison quite interesting. The Dev Alpha B sports a 4.2″ monitor with 356 PPI, while the 8X has a slightly-larger 4.3″ screen with 342 PPI. The former is powered by dual-core 1.5GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4470, while the latter runs on dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (Krait).

When you visited Allur.com and both browsers were so slow… you then got an error and said it was a browser compatibility.

My Nokia 920 WP8 went to the site in a couple of seconds, blowing away both your phones.

This must mean you have crap internet or something or that site had an outage.

If you post tests, make them meaningful.

My HTML5 score on Windows 7 and Explorer 9.0 was “138″…..this is on my PC. Is this why my browser sucks? Not a chance I would get a WP8 sorry. My Playbook scores 411 as we speak…..I hope it scores 484 once we get BB10……Michael…..can we get a browser show down for the Playbook vs IPad?

What, cant take a little criticism? Since you were apparently nice enough to delete my comment, let me re-post it.

at 2:48… error you quoted was “page could not be served” – sounds like a server side issue, not a “slight bug in the browser”… not very thorough or objective.

Why do you say “faster” for HTML 5 test? This test is for HTML 5 compliancy and has nothing to do with a speed test. I’ve noticed you say “faster” when referring to the HTML 5 test in multiple articles so I just want to make sure you understand it has nothing to do with being “faster” so you’re using the wrong word here. “More compliant” would be a better choice of words.
